Carl and Birdie Buhl founded the Buhl Press in 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. Twenty years later, Peyton Barkley purchased the company from the Buhl family. To accommodate growth, the Buhl Press moved from downtown Chicago to Berkeley, Illinois – a western suburb. Still owned and actively lead by the Barkley family, the company currently operates out of a state-of-the-art facility covering more than 100,000 square feet. True to our legacy, the Buhl Press continues to specialize in the art of printing on plastic. Over the years, we have vertically integrated our company’s assets to best address the markets needs within this specific niche.
